Event Management
Host public and private events at any location, manage attendee registrations, and run seamless check-ins with automated ticketing and approval workflows.
Creating an Event
Navigate to Events in the dashboard sidebar and click Create Event.
- Title & Description: Name of the event and details/agenda for attendees.
- Date & Time: Set the starting and ending date/time. All inputs are automatically parsed in your local timezone and stored in UTC to prevent timezone drifts.
- Capacity Limit: Set the maximum number of attendees. Once reached, further registrations are automatically blocked.
- NDA/Document Agreement: Require attendees to review and sign your safety/legal document at check-in.
- Photo Capture: Enforce photo capture for attendees upon checking in.
- Require Host Approval: Toggle this on to manually approve or decline each attendee registration before they receive their check-in ticket.
Attendee Registration & Ticketing
Every event has a unique public registration link. You can share this link on your website, social media, or via invites.
- Express QR Ticket: Standard registrations instantly generate a confirmation email with a unique QR code. Attendees scan this QR code on a lobby kiosk or show it to the security gate for sub-15-second entry.
- Live Updates: The registration page respects capacity limits in real time and automatically updates if the event is full or modified.
Host Approval Workflow
For events requiring strict admission control, enable the Host Approval Workflow:
- Registration Request: The visitor registers via the public link. They receive a Registration Request Received email indicating their status is pending review.
- Dashboard Review: Hosts and Admins see a
Pending Approvalbadge next to the attendee in the event directory. - Approve: Click Approve. The attendee is instantly emailed their confirmation ticket containing their unique entry QR code.
- Decline: Click Decline. The registration is marked as declined and entry is blocked if they attempt to scan a QR code at check-in.
Dynamic Auto-Refresh: The event list and attendee directory auto-refresh silently every 5 seconds. You can approve/decline guests on one screen and see metrics update live across all other active dashboard consoles.
Checking In Attendees
On the day of the event, front desk staff can manage check-ins using two primary methods:
- QR Scanning: Attendees present their QR ticket at the lobby kiosk or security scanner. A successful scan logs them as
Checked In. - Manual Check-In: Front desk operators can search the attendee list from the event details dashboard and click Check In to manually record their arrival.
